Frigate – new currency in Gdynia during holidays!
During The Tall Ships' Races 2009 a new local currency can be used - Gdynia frigate. It's also a windfall for numismatics!

Why Gdynia frigate?

Firstly, Gdynia is the only Polish city - a home port for this type of ships and a frigate under full sail is one the canons of beauty.
Secondly, this year the most famous Polish frigate - Dar Pomorza celebrates her centenary.
And last but not least - our famous "white frigate" - Dar Młodzieży will be one the participants of The Tall Ships' Races taking place for the fourth time in Gdynia.
